2019 Ford F-750

A Ford Super Duty truck like the Ford F-750 is the kind of vehicle you can trust to get your largest and heaviest cargo wherever it needs to be. Whether you're doing work around Indianapolis, Avon, and Plainfield or shipping something across the country, that kind of power and versatility comes in handy.

How efficient are these trucks, though? To show you what they can do for you and all the ways they're built to travel far, Andy Mohr Truck Center looks at the Ford F-750 fuel specs.

Ford F-750 Fuel Options

The Ford F-750 is a large Super Duty truck that's available in three different cab sizes. It can be configured as either a straight frame truck or a tractor. With either setup, this large and capable vehicle will have a lot of power under the hood.

However, its gross vehicle weight ratio (GVWR) is light enough that it can provide you with solid fuel economy while transporting cargo to your destination. Its minimum GVWR is 31,000 pounds, while its maximum weight is 33,000 pounds.

To travel far distances and fuel this massive vehicle, there's a standard 50-gallon fuel tank on the Regular Cab and SuperCab. The Crew Cab boasts a larger 60-gallon fuel tank

Whichever cab your jobs calls for, you'll have the freedom to choose between a strong gas-powered engine or an efficient diesel powertrain.

Ford F-750 Powertrains

The 2019 F-750 offers two capable engines. If want your truck to run on traditional gas, you'll find a 6.8L Triton® V10 engine under the hood. This 3-valve monster can deliver up to 320 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Fans of diesel engines will love how the F-750 also offers a 6.7L Ford PowerStroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine. Its standard setup produces up to 270 horsepower and 675 lb-ft of torque. However, it can be equipped to get all the way up to 330 horsepower and an impressive 725 lb-ft of torque.

Both engines work with an efficient TorqShift® HD 6-speed automatic transmission. It features a multi-segment friction clutch design that intelligently decreases power while increasing oil flow. There's also a lockup feature that allows the engines to improve their MPG when traveling at lower RPMs.

Ford F-750 Efficient Features

To further boost your efficiency, the Ford F-750 has lots of features both available and built right into the design. For example, the truck's body features a front-end-tilting fiberglass hood and fenders to make it lighter and more aerodynamic.

Under the hood, you can increase your MPG rating with an available engine idle shutdown timer. There are also smart speed limiters available that can keep your truck or tractor at a safe and efficient 65 or 70 MPH.
